In 2019, during Easter holidays, Stay Transfer (an association that promotes BMX in Italy) organized the first Italian bowl trip. The tour was supposed to have 5 stages but, due to the weather conditions, we were able to visit only 3 of the 5 planned bowls.
In 2022, after 3 years in which Covid brought travel to a standstill, we were finally able to leave for a new trip during Easter holidays.
We had been waiting for three years, but it was worth it! 12 cars and vans, 20 riders (plus those who joined us in the different bowls), about 700km (someone more, some others less) and a great desire to ride.
Bologna, Pisa, Massa and Genoa were the destinations but, just like any good trip, you fall in love with a bowl and plans end up being turned upside down. We skipped the last stage in Genoa. You know when you have a plan but everything goes to hell because you meet a beautiful girl? That’s exactly what happened! We fell in love with Massa bowl and the plan went to hell.
We are not really good with words, we let the pictures and the 6-minute video speak, showing what we lived for 4 days: BMX, friendship and freedom.
